Members of Bonita Bay Club are honored to volunteer at New Horizons, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping at-risk children and teens who are growing up in an environment of poverty and academic failure.

From its humble beginnings with 20 children in 2002, New Horizons currently reaches 600 children and teens at seven locations in Naples, Bonita Springs, Estero and Fort Myers; providing over 100,000 hours of after school tutoring and mentoring annually at no cost to their families.

Core values of honesty, integrity, and personal responsibility are emphasized in daily character education lessons. New Horizons provides the most vulnerable members of our community with the opportunity to choose a different course for their lives.

Bonita Bay Club volunteers help empower at-risk youth through tutoring and mentoring. Visit NewHorizonsofSWFL.org to learn more about the nonprofit beneficiary of the FineMark FGCU Collegiate Open.

“I’ve been tutoring fifth graders for past five years with fellow Bonita Bay Club members Craig Byers and Steve Whitman. It’s very rewarding, and our former students are now doing well in high school.”

“I’m so happy to work with New Horizons and these children. Love the fact that I’ve been able to start at the beginning of the school year and will get to see them blossom as the year progresses. Lucky me!”

Ann Ford Weadock

“New Horizons is incredibly grateful to the Bonita Bay residents for their support of our life-changing mission. Bonita Bay residents generously give of their time to tutor and mentor our students. Their donations over the years and in particular this year with the tennis tournament make it possible for us to serve over 600 at-risk students. Together Bonita Bay Club and New Horizons are offering hope and opportunity to students living in poverty and struggling in school. Thank you!!!”
